Silversea’s elegant Silver Wind is zipping along the Gulf of Aden at the relatively fast speed of 18 knots. It’s nearly top speed for our sleek 514-foot long ship, which has spent the better part of the day passing the slower-moving tankers and container ships that make up the bulk of traffic in the southbound shipping lanes here.
