Uniworld Boutique River Cruises recently announced its plans for a new itinerary on the Ganges River and a new ship to sail the exotic Indian waters. The itinerary is titled “India’s Golden Triangle & the Sacred Ganges,” and the ship name will be Ganges Voyager II. The new 12-night route will depart from New Delhi and cruise to Kolkata starting January 2016.

The itinerary will be comprised of seven nights onboard the ship and five nights on land with luxury accommodations provided by the award-winning Oberoi Hotels and Resorts Collection. Destination highlights will include Rajasthan’s Pink City of Jaipur, Mother Teresa’s tomb and former home, Delhi’s Red Fort, Humayun’s Tomb, Agra’s Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, and Jaipur’s Jantar Mantar.

The 56-guest, all-suite ship will feature posh rooms such as the Colonial Suite (rendered above) and Viceroy Suite (rendered below) with sizes ranging from 261 to 400 sq. ft. Common amenities will include French balconies, sitting areas, flat-screen televisions and bathrooms with rain showers, robes, slippers and Molton Brown bath products. Public spaces will consist of the Governor’s Lounge for entertainment and events, an observation deck, a spa and fitness center, and the East India Restaurant with Western cuisine plus Indian-inspired flavors.
